With the beginning of spring break, the Step into the Profession program began.
Day one, Saturday
On Saturday morning, high school students from Tuzha, Kirov region, Solotchi, Ryazan region, and Donetsk, Rostov arrived almost simultaneously.
Everyone settled in our hospitable NM hostel, got acquainted, discussed plans for the week and went to have lunch at the Shokoladnitsa coffee house, where, as always, it was delicious.
In the meantime, the boys went to the charity football match "Football Stars for the Children of Russia", saw the game of professional football players - football legends. The guys were happy that they won "our" stars with a score of 3:2.
In the evening we rested in the puppet theater S.V. Obraztsova, absorbed the classics, watched Crazy Day or The Marriage of Figaro. After the performance, under the impression of today, we went to the hostel, where Lyosha had already prepared dinner.
Today, as always on our programs, the guys themselves were looking for a way, still timidly and not boldly. We will continue to train to pave the way in the big city.
Day two, Sunday
Sunday began with a long trip - we went to Lyubertsy by train to fire and rescue squad No. 209. Some guys traveled by train for the first time and looked for differences from the subway. A lot of interesting things awaited the children in the rescue team - a tour of the team's museum, a short first aid course, the guys rode on a rescue ladder, they examined the internal structure of a fire truck. They also gave a try to imitate fire extinguishing with the help of a hose.
Safely returning to Moscow, we dined at Shokoladnitsa and in the evening enjoyed watching the musical about the ancient profession of a pirate Treasure Island, and at the same time watched the profession of an actor.
Day Three, Monday
A new week for the participants of the career guidance program began with a goal-setting training conducted by Mehdi, our good acquaintance and good friend. It was fun, lots of different games and useful information. studied different ways achieving goals. All this happened at the Katerina City Hotel, in the restaurant of which we were fed a delicious lunch.
And after lunch, the children were given a tour of the hotel's professions, told what knowledge and skills are needed for each of them. Our participants found out how many rooms one maid can clean and how to do it right, visited the kitchen, the sales department, visited the security service, looked into the laundry room, where they were extremely surprised by the dimensions of the washing machines, learned about the intricacies of working at the front desk.
And then the guys were waiting for an unusual quest around the city. Our friends from the Lifestyle project prepared difficult tasks and, having united the participants in 4 groups, sent them to look for various professions on the streets of Moscow. It was not easy, because you had to approach people and ask questions. Of course, not all people in the city answered and sometimes even drove them away, but the guys adequately completed all the tasks and learned a lot interesting people. After that, in the hostel, the guys shared their impressions and talked about the most unusual professions that they met.
In the evening, those who were in Moscow for the first time went for a walk on Red Square. And Natasha, Masha and Ksyusha stayed at the hostel together with the volunteer Elena, who told them about her work in the bank and other professions in the field of finance and economics.
Day Four, Tuesday
Tuesday started with a training game “Professions of the present: we discuss and choose” with our wonderful friend Vera Ignatkina. The guys participated very actively - breaking up into teams, they came up with enterprises, what they do and why, they “tried on” various professions. The game turned out to be entertaining and emotional. And the participants learned about the factors influencing the choice of a profession: salary, place of work, whether the work itself is pleasant and others.
We dined today at the Mu-mu cafe, where the participants themselves chose what they wanted, but within a certain budget. The task is not the easiest, but all successfully coped. After lunch, we visited the Metro Career Center, where the participants had an amazing tour of the structure and history of the metro, the guys learned that in the metro there are professions not only of a driver and an escalator attendant, but also a cook, a mechanic and many others, and also every participant in our program try on the role of a train driver, "driving" through one station on the driver's cab simulator!
The day ended in the circus of dancing fountains "Aquamarine" at the colorful performance "Dream". The guys admired the gymnasts, laughed at the clowns and marveled at the trained animals. We returned to the hostel full of impressions!
Day five, Wednesday
The fifth day of the program began with a training on choosing a profession at the telecommunications company Orange Business Services, where the guys analyzed the algorithm for choosing a profession, analyzed cases of choice, discussed what mistakes there are in the search process and how they can be corrected. The guys managed to play the role of journalists and interview the company's employees. And after a delicious lunch, the children were told about the work of call center operators - this profession was the starting one for many employees of the company. It was very educational!
Then, after a short walk along the embankments and enjoying the spring sun, the guys went on an excursion to Yandex. The participants of our program were delighted that they could work sitting on the floor, that each office had a funny name and, of course, an unusual interior. We were surprised that you can come to work at any time, because the company works 24 hours. And after the tour, the company's employees told the guys about their experience and their business. So our participants got acquainted with the professions of a product manager, project manager and media planner, programmer and designer.
The day ended with a wonderful performance of The Thirteenth Star at the Cherry Orchard Moscow Theatrical Center. The perfect end to a wonderful day.
Day six, Thursday
On Thursday, the penultimate day, the rise was early, because at 9:30 we were already waiting for the team strategic game "Tactics". Having united in two teams, they began to get their cubes, walking according to certain rules and special cells. The White T-shirts won with a score of 3:0!
Cheered up by the game, we again visited the puppet theater of S.V. Obraztsov, but this time they did not watch a performance, but visited the unusual workshops of the theater. Administrator Liliya Yurievna told the children about the life of the theater behind the scenes and about professions in this theater.
We dined at the wonderful restaurant Veranda 32.05, where not only the food was delicious, we were amazed by the unusual serving, but after dinner the restaurant manager told the children about professions in the food industry. After that, we decided to take a walk in the park, and the frolicking children could not be torn off from the playground.
Then we went to the training "Communication Skills", which was conducted by Natalia Antonova. Everyone liked it very much fun game about animals, which was later applied to professions.
In the evening in the hostel, the guys and I discussed everything that happened during these six days, recalled the professions we saw and shared our impressions. And then Nadia, an employee of the Our Children Foundation, came to the guys. The Foundation, together with Megafon, has recently released an application for mobile phones, with the help of which children can find answers to many questions that they usually face after graduation from child care facilities. And besides, in the application, you can ask your question and get an answer from a specialist within 48 hours! After such a busy day, everyone enjoyed the cake made by Lesha.
Day seven, Friday
On the final day of the program, they played a game, but not a simple one, but a life game. Our new friends Igor and Yulia hosted a FreshBiz game. The guys united in 4 groups and started the game, where everyone is for himself. And there were even millionaire winners Lera and Artem. And then they repeated the game again, but they already played as a team, and it turned out to be much more difficult - it turned out to be more interesting to earn money for yourself than with someone else. Julia and Igor discussed their strategies and goals with the guys, we hope it will be very useful for them someday. It was the final event on this program.
At parting, everyone hugged for a long time and did not want to leave. We really hope that everything that the guys saw and learned will be useful to them when choosing a profession.

“My name is Ulyana. I am 16 years old. I'm in the 9th grade. This is my first time on this program! To be honest, I didn't think it would be so interesting. Trainings… I have been to various trainings many times, but here in Moscow it is something more. I will single out Mehti from the trainers and from Oranje. I learned about many professions, specialties, etc. I didn’t think at all that it was so difficult to work in a hotel or that there were a lot of people in the subway and it was actually interesting. As for the entertainment program, it's very cool! Really! Circus... I never thought there was such a thing, the performances are very exciting. And educational. This program helped me a lot in choosing a profession, i.e. I decided exactly what I want and what I need. A big thank you must be said to everyone who was with us, the director of this program!”

“I am very glad that I had the opportunity to go to Moscow in order to decide on a profession.
What I liked most about this trip was the Football match, all the coaches were funny and very sociable. The most fun day of the trip is March 31, because first we went to the quest and played a game of tactics there. Then we went to douse and went to the playground, after that we went to the training, this training was very fun.
In general, I liked everything - theaters, a football stadium, a hostel, excursions, sociable people, the way our chef Alexei cooked. But only one thing I didn’t like - all this running around on the subway, and everything else is just super. Thanks!"
Marina Z.
“I am Marina, a 10th grade student. I am glad that I had such an opportunity to go to Moscow. I've been here before, but that was 2 years ago. I liked it then too, but now I have learned a lot of interesting and informative things for myself. Now I can choose my profession, because. I know by what criteria it can be done. Honestly, I really liked everything, I heard about some professions for the first time, it was very interesting for me to talk with people who talked about themselves, about their profession, etc. I liked Mehdi the most, they visited him on the first day and Denis, he works in the office mobile communications. I liked the circus and the Ministry of Emergency Situations. People who work there have so much courage, courage, self-confidence, even a girl who is 12 years old: she did an acrobatic number in the air. It was something. I remember the musical Treasure of the Pirates. I saw it on TV and really wanted to see it, and thanks to those who compiled and organized the trip, I went there. I can say you fulfilled my dream. Thank you! I liked walking along the Red Square, especially along the bridge. In general, everything was wonderful. I want to thank you so much for doing this. You bring joy to children, after Moscow there are very big emotions. Don't want to leave. It’s a pity that the week flew by so quickly: (I am grateful to you! I love you! THANKS!!!”

“A trip to Moscow under the Step into a Profession program, in my opinion, was very informative. Many children learned about in large numbers professions that they either did not think about or did not know about. From the stories about how people came to a particular profession, it followed that everything is achieved by work. The companies were located not within walking distance from the place of residence, which teaches children to navigate the place and how to get to right place public transport. Living in a hostel, the children learned to communicate, live and establish contact not only with those children with whom they lived in the room, but also with adults. The program is rich, interesting and left many bright moments, remembering which you can smile every time.
Many thanks to all the employees of the Foundation for their sincere kindness, attention and care.”
Galina Alexandrovna, accompanying
“In the spring break I had the opportunity to go to Moscow, accompanying the children of the Tuzhinsky boarding school.
I really enjoyed the trip. We lived in Moscow for a week from March 26 to April 1.
I remember the trip to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, got acquainted with modern rescue vehicles, with their difficult and necessary work.
Many thanks for the cultural program: the play "... The Marriage of Figaro", "13 Star", the Musical "Treasure Island" and the circus performance "Dream".
It was very interesting to see how such companies as Yandex and the telecommunications company Orange operate.
There was an informative tour of the professions of the Metropolitan. We had wonderful trainings, especially with Mehti the training “Interview”, etc.
A lot of work has been done on vocational guidance on the program "Step into the Profession".
Thanks to all the organizers of this project.”

Many students, choosing a profession, have no idea about what a manager or a lawyer will actually have to do. However, the opportunity to try future profession in practice, students practically do not have to be in the role of a specialist and thereby make sure that the choice is correct or incorrect.
