Online shopping risks: Loss of money and personal data. Buying goods in an unknown online store, you can easily become a victim of scammers and lose not only money, but also personal information, such as credit card information. Similar risks arise if a user enters a fake website of a well-known online store by clicking on a phishing link. Goods of poor quality. Considering that all purchases on the Internet are made "behind the eyes", the buyer does not have the opportunity to check all the characteristics of the purchase, and some of the quality of the goods may deteriorate due to improper transportation or storage in the warehouse. In accordance with the law "On the Protection of Consumer Rights", the buyer has the right to a refund or replacement of goods of inadequate quality. Counterfeit goods. Many online stores offer products famous brands at low prices. This group of products is especially popular with teenagers and young people. However, it may turn out that in some cases low price may indicate not a reduction in trading costs, but a fake. It can be quite difficult to identify a fake product, so it is best to check quality certificates with the seller in advance. Prohibited goods. While surfing the Internet, teenagers may come across advertisements for the sale of prohibited goods and services. Although such ads are tracked law enforcement and site administration, the risk of acquiring prohibited goods by teenagers on the Internet remains. Violation of consumer rights. In accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, the consumer has certain rights - regardless of where the purchase is made: in a regular store or on the Internet. However, online commerce is much worse legal regulation compared to the traditional market for goods and services. In this regard, the risk of a collision with an unscrupulous seller who is ready to violate consumer rights is quite high on the Internet.

Rules for safe online shopping It is better to make purchases in large online stores that have proven themselves in the market. You should always carefully read the terms of service, as well as all documents received when placing an order, such as an order form, waybills, invoices, etc. Before making a purchase, it is worth checking the basic details of the seller, especially if the store is not credible. Since modern information Technology allow you to easily create websites designed for online commerce, you should not trust a store just because it has a beautiful website. It always makes sense to read customer reviews, but remember that they can be commissioned to artificially create the appearance of demand. The recommendation of acquaintances or friends is always better reviews left on the store's website. Find out how long the store has been in existence. You can look it up in a search engine or by the date of registration of the domain, which can be found on the website https://www.nic.ru/whois/. Compare prices in different online stores. This can be done using the Yandex.Market service or Google Shopping. Price too low for good product is cause for suspicion. If the site has a contact phone number, you should call it and clarify the conditions for fulfilling the order, for example, does the store issue cash receipt, specify the cost of the order and its delivery. Never and under no circumstances will a conscientious merchant ask for a pin code bank card. If this happens, then you should immediately stop all actions on the site and contact the representatives of the bank that issued the card in order to block it.
