I am very, very amateur, I don’t go into the settings, I use auto mode, but I would like to take decent pictures for family album. I chose from the most inexpensive cameras, in the store I took test shots with three cameras of different companies, the same in price - I checked the sharpness of the pictures (the clarity of small details), and the color-light transmission - and so this camera had a clearly better quality in these parameters (on order, noticeable even for me) than the other two firms. Daylight shots are very good, indoors are also acceptable. If I got a more blurry background (I don’t know what it’s called, or maybe I could do something in the settings, but I couldn’t figure it out with all my hands), then no expensive camera was needed. Bought. It worked properly for about 2 years without remarks, did not drop, did not wet (since a small child still killed the previous cameras, there was a careful attitude to this). As a result, after 2 years it turns on and shows a completely black screen, it also takes black pictures, climbed on the Internet - the problem seems to be common, but no one knows why it happens and what to do. The master asked for 2000 rubles for the repair, but I will not repair it, since the previous camera worked for several months after the repair and returned to a broken state. The camera is considered inexpensive, but for me this money is not quite a penny, 2 years is not enough, in my opinion, I would still like, if not fancy, simple, but more reliable equipment. Now I'm afraid to take Kenon.

the camera is really compact, fits in any pocket, the body is assembled very carefully, "adult" charging, like canon DSLRs, unfortunately, was not without tar; this is the quality of the picture .... the 16-megapixel sensor is very noisy, but it could be corrected a little by in-camera processing, but it is not up to par either: yes, color noise is suppressed, there are none, but an attempt to stretch the sharpness, coupled with a hard JPG - compression (the files are very light) clog the picture with digital "pockmarks", and therefore I do not recommend such cameras just the same as their target audience - housewives, for family needs - better without a DSLR, to whom do I recommend it? Strange as it may seem to street people like me, here is everything we need, namely, cheap and cheerful. In general, the picture is average in this price range.

I am the owner of a Canon DSLR and a Panasonic superzoom. I compare with them. I needed a camera frankly cheap, compact and work in "one touch" - I got it, took a picture ... I bought a Canon PowerShot A2550 for 2300 rubles. with home delivery. Through trial and error and looking at the recommendations, I set the ISO to 200; double flash (such as against red eyes), everything else is auto. As a result, "whitishness" and blurring went away, the black color turned black, clarity and contrast appeared. A double flash increases the focusing time and gives the camera additional time to "think" (as an option - an auto-timer of 2 seconds) - I recommend using it on all cameras. Video at the level of my superzoom (VERY good). Photos - 90% of the shots are excellent (for viewing on the monitor and printing small photos). For example, on my SLR in auto mode - only 70% of good shots (but the size of the photo is completely different - at least print billboards).
